We have been celebrating Science Week in St. Mary’s this week! On Monday, we had a whole school quiz in the hall. Pupils from each year group worked together in teams. It was a great success!
On Tuesday, we had TY pupils from Collinstown Park CC helping our pupils with science workshops on the organs. The pupils loved the hands on experiments and activities. Thanks to Ms McArdle for organising all of the events for Science Week!
Last week was Maths Week and there were loads of fun maths activities and maths trails underway around the school! Well done to all of the pupils taking part, especially for all of those who won ‘Maths Stars’
On Friday, the Boy’s Soccer Tea took part in the Dublin Bus Boy’s Soccer Blitz. The team came second! They showed great team spirit and did the school proud. Well done also to their coaches Mr Moore and Mr Toye!
Last Friday, the Girl’s Soccer Team took part in the Dublin Bus Soccer Blitz. The team came 3rd and won bronze medals! Ms Baker and Ms Carty were so impressed with the girls excellent behaviour and team spirit. Well done Girl’s – you did St. Mary’s Proud!!
We are delighted to be able to offer recorder lessons for all pupils this term. A recorder teacher is coming to the school one day a week and will take all classes for a lesson.
We are so lucky to have the new North Clondalkin Library so close to the school. Every Wednesday, two classes visit the library and every child is able to check out 2 books each. Keep an eye out for other exciting events at the library!
